The passion of Brazil, combined with the exclusive expertise of eyewear protection by Vuarnet, has given birth to “Vuarnet Brasilia”, the first Vuarnet collection dedicated to women. The veined materials with soft, natural, and exotic colors evoke the richness of the earth, while the forms and colors create mystery and seduction, wighlighting the spellbinding character of th country. Carnival and festival atmospheres are presented in two-tone designs of vegetable and mineral inspiration. The resulting collection is top-of-the-range, refined and trendy, and unique.
In 1960, the meeting of Jean VUARNET – Olympic ski champion (Descente) the same year in the States – with great men such as Roger Pouilloux and Joseph Hatchiguian, creator of the famous lenses Skilynx, give birth to the sunglasses VUARNET !
It has been about half a century that the brand lives through the fashions and over the oceans, keeping what it has always been alive, in the greatest of authenticity.
Years after its conception in 1957, the lense Skilynx is always an undisputed reference in the matter of solar protection. This exceptional lense worn in 1960 by the Olympic champion Jean VUARNET is effectively regarded worldwide as allowing to look at the sun without being dazzled, and as a luminosity increaser by cloudy and foggy days. This emblematic lense of the brand continues to confer to VUARNET Eye-wear their specificity.
A know-how that relies on the perfecting of high-quality (non-)correcting solar lenses, that optimize protection, perception of landscape and colour-restitution. This know-how adds its value to a wider and wider range of frames, designed to answer the tastes and demands of a modern clientele, quite diversified, composed of sport addicts as well as less athletic persons, who want to unit optical performance and aesthetic.

And last, for its 45th anniversary, the VUARNET brand comes back with the mythical ‘4002 ‘... This model, massively adopted by the public since the end of the eighties, was updated for the occasion, giving birth to the superb model ‘Legend‘. Its launch has been supported by an elegant press campaign which allows every consumer to relive his own ‘VUARNET 4002‘ period.

The VUARNET lenses personify the know-how of the brand and confer to the eye-wear all its value:
- The choice of the best materials: VUARNET's best choice is the mineral glass, which offers the best optical qualities (no surface distortion) and finds itself to be unaffected by deterioration as well as being hardly subject to scratches. The polycarbonate, unbreakable and light, is kept for specific assemblies.
- Maximal protection against all the sun ray types: Thanks to their exclusive fabrication formula, the VUARNET glasses offer a 100% UV protection and a very high rate of absorption of visible rays (86% to 96% following the type of glass). Other distinctive quality which is to filter infrared rays (76% to 98% following the type of mineral glass). All the lenses benefit from an anti-reflection treatment on the inside, which eliminates the interfering rays and enhances the light transmission.
- Lenses for everybody! The VUARNET lenses can be obtained as correcting lenses (assembly is insured by VUARNET)
A VUARNET lense is a signed lense: the logo composed of the V of VUARNET on a ski guarantees the authenticity of VUARNET lenses.
Lenses for each universe:
- Mountain: Protection with no concession and sun reflection blocking. In the mountain, the sun beams are intense. The snow reflects 85% of the UV rays, and the UV protection factor increases about 10% every 3000 feet! In the mountain, the mineral lenses Skilynx, PX5000 and PX 3000 offer a maximal security and optimize the visual comfort in situation of great sun exposition and reflection.
- Sea: Protection, clarity and polarization. At sea, the visual comfort is considerably greatened by wearing specific lenses, which have the effect of reducing the bothering luminosity of the fog, or by wearing polarizing lenses, which stop the unaccommodating reflections of the water – specially the mirror effect produced when the sun's reflection on the water is of 100% (PX2000 and PX3000 lenses).
- Urban & Town: The VUARNET quality every day and in the car. In town, the sun beams, even if lower than at sea or in the mountain, still is present. To fight against the dazzling of the sun reflection on wet roads, the glass facades of buildings, or other cars, the polarized lenses are most useful. The VUARNET range for Urban and Town is segmented into 2 axes: protection and/or polarizing (lenses PX2000 and PX3000).
